Criticism Classes - Day 1

Criticism Classes for second semester B.Ed students of H.H.M.M.II Training College were organized on 18th October 2022. Students from Adoor St. Mary's Girls High School were invited to attend the classes. Our English department classes started at 10:30 pm with the activity based class by me, Fr. Jibin Sabu based on the play "Listen to the Mountain". I introduced the topic using various pictures and video of natural disasters. After reading the play, students were asked to create poster on nature conservation. The second class was led by Ms. Sneha Merin Prince. It was an activity based class on " On Killing a tree". 
Mr. Vinoy led the third class based on the short story "The Happiness Machine" by Ray Bradbury. Pictures, video, activity cards, charts, flash cards etc. had included in the class to make it more interesting and engaging. Students were actively participated in all the activities. It was followed by the Direct Instruction model by Ms. Divya S focusing on question tags. Then, Ms. Nitya Murali led the class in activity based lesson on "Merchant of Venice. It was followed by the advance organizer model by Vandana Raj and Concept attainment model by Ms. Asitha A. All these clsses provided us with a new experience about the different types of classes, activity aids, models, activities and learning experience. It was a meaningful day for everyone.

H.H.M.M. II Training College, Adoor conducted a workshop on Models of teaching on 17th and 19th August 2022. As models of teaching is an integral part of B.Ed curriculum and teaching practice, the workshop focused on all the aspects of teaching models in detail. The workshop was started with the introductory session by the college principal Ms. Nimmi Varghese. In her introductory session, the teacher trainees could get a glimpse of the meaning, definition, elements and families of the teaching models. Apart from the introductory session, she also dealt with the concept attainment model in teaching.

College Sports Day- KRATOS 2022

Sports Day of H.H.M.M. II College, Adoor, KRATOS 2K22, was conducted on 22 October 2022. Various sports events such as 800m, 400m, 200m, 100m race, shotput, Javelin, Discus Throw were organized by the Physical Education Department. All the events were conducted based on three houses, Blue, Red and Green. Sports meet started at 10 am with an assembly preceded by parade of all the three houses.  After the assembly, we started the first event, which was 800m race Girls and Boys. It was followed by Shotput throw which received maximum participation from the students. Then, there were Javelin race, 400m, 200m, 100 m race. It was a healthy competition for everyone. The last event was Javelin throw which provided a entirely new experience for most of us. The whole sport events entertained us and taught us the lessons of perseverance, hard work, motivation, group coordination and mutual support. It was a memorable day for everyone.
