TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE II WEEK 2 REFLECTION

Second week of our teaching practice was started with the smiling faces of our dear students. They used to present there in the playground while we enter into the school premises. For them, we are both their teachers and friends. The day also had a specialty of National Reading Day. Students gathered in the ground for assembly session and conducted activities such as quiz programme, news report, book reflection, thought presentation etc. My class was observed by our College Teacher Ms. Harsha S. Teacher gave me feedbacks in this week.

Second week school reflection was held on 24th June 2023 at 10:00 am. After the prayer, Ms. Rana Mary Teacher asked the teacher trainees to share their experience one by one. Kattanam Pope pious School Representative stared the session by sharing about the number of lesson plan completed and the activities related to awareness days. She was also shared her improvement of classroom management. It was followed by Kodumon H. S. representative. She made specific focus on her class observation by Mrs. Harsha S.

Ms.Christena from MMMHS, Adoor started reflecting upon her experience of involving in extra activities like flash mob and awareness day activities. Ms. Asiya from MAMHSS Chengamandu shared her similar reflection of total of number lesson template and learning experiences.Vivekandan  H. S. Kadampanadu representative Ms. Anjitha made special attention on the difficulty of getting less number of periods in the school and the experiences of Dry Day Observance. MGD GHS representative Ms. Hanna Varghese  shared about rotary Club activity, health club activity etc. Then, Ms. Fathima Salah came forward to reflect on the school experiences of Vadakkadathucavu HSS. She shared about Yoga day initiative, elder abuse day awareness day activities, Dry day initiative etc. I also could share the class experience of dealing with differently abled students and other activities. Kalluvashy HSS. representative Reshma Rajan focused on her classroom experiences of dealing with higher secondary school. Then, from Koipuram GHSS and Kundara GHD Expressed similar reflection of classroom teaching. It was followed by Archana from Punaloor Govt. HSS who made a remark on the experiences of dealing with hyper active students in the school. Adoor Govt. Boys School representative  shared the problem of Chicken pox issue in the school. She shared her concern about the student's absence due to the fear of the spreading disease. At last, the session was ended with the reflection of Lin M George. They could conduct a reading day programme by gathering high school students. Later, Miss. Nimmi Varghese Teacher concluded the session by giving general feedback on the reflections.

On Thursday, June 20. we were asked to lead a session on Yoga Awareness. So, we could conduct classes on Yoga and Yoga Asanas. It was led by Ms. Sreelekshmi R. On Friday 23rd June, we could be a part of the assembly session World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. It was followed by the activities of "Dry Day" of Kerala Government. All the students and teachers cleaned the school environment for about one hour in the morning. It was also a good experience for all of us. Throughout the week, we had lots of experiences to learn and improve for becoming better teachers.
